~I've studied Japanese for 2 years in my local community college and passed all the Japanese classes there. I have to go to a University now in order to continue with my Japanese but...I can't really afford that lol. I know Hiragana, Katakana, and some Kanji. Most of the sentence structures, te-forms, ru-verbs and u-verbs.

~i met this wonderful person last year..i tried asking her the only two japanese phrases that i know..o namaewa des ka? and nansai des ka? dont even understand when she answered..but amazingly we still keep in touch even though she's gone back to japan...her english is not quite good..so i think i have to learn her language to understand each other better..

~I'm in spanish 3 and now I'v realized that japanese is even more interesting so about a year ago I started teaching myself japanese.  I bought the book "genki 1" but haven't been using it as much as I'd like to (I got it for x-mas).  I probably know about 100 kanji and maybe recognize 150 (not know their reading but understand what it means).  I might be going to japan this summer with YFU if I win a scholarship.

~I'm a programmer, I even get paid to do it.  I've developed a great love for anime and much of Japanese culture in general, in fact I seem to be becoming obsessed!  Let's see, I love going on long walks, being by myself a lot, listening to anime radio stations, going running, adventures to go with long stretches of peace and quiet. 
I've gotten to Ch. 7 of "Japanese for Busy People I: Kana Version" but my sensei has to move another state :(.  Hopefully we can all learn something here!
